New classrooms to be built for next year

In order to continue intensifying the quality of education in Huye district, the district plans to build new classrooms with other buildings for the year 2013. This was concluded on the 17th April 2012 in the district education meeting that is always held before the beginning of each term.

Kayiranga Muzuka Eugene, the Mayor of Huye district who presided the meeting said the quality of education depends on conditions that students are getting educated. He then asked all residents of Huye to get involved in building these schools.

The meeting also discussed modalities of improving the quality of education. Among them was mentioned the district test which would be done by all students instead of those who are preparing the national examination only. Schools were thanked for the last test they gave students who are getting ready for the national examination and they were told to strengthen the testing policy since it reminds students of their requirement.

Huye district plans to put up 48 classrooms, 24 toilets and 12 houses for teachers which will be ready for use in the next school year of 2013. The community work or umuganda of April 2012 will consist of launching the activities of all these buildings.
